JOB SUMMARY: The Connections Pastor will help people take the next step toward being connected at Chase Oaks through leading the Weekend Experience Team, supporting the following step systems, and collaborating with ministries to help connect people to Groups and Teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate a healthy guest experience to ensure a pathway to connectedness
Participate in the development and implementation of guest environments
Oversee the path from new to know at the campus
Initiate contact with brand new people at the campus as necessary
Guide people on guest cards as necessary
Lead the Weekend Experience Team who genuinely welcomes people every weekend service
Recruit, train, and develop leaders and volunteers (Greeters, Coffee, Ushers, Parking, Communion, The Hub, etc.)
Oversee the execution of the Weekend Experience Team during weekend services
Support campus following step courses for those ready to launch from new or inactive to known
Collaborate with each ministry to develop pathways in connecting people to Groups and Teams
Continually invest in spiritual and self-development / support rhythms (e.g., church attendance, regular time with God)

CHASE OAKS STAFF PASTOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commit to doing ministry as a team; develop interdependence among team members, and be authentic with team members
Participate in and take responsibility for the execution of the Ministry Team planning process
Demonstrate a consistent lifestyle and be of strong character
Participate in Pastor-of-the-Week duties
Be available to perform priestly functions (i.e., weddings, funerals, communion, and baptisms)
Regularly attend and participate in staff and pastoral meetings and leadership development opportunities
Be available to assist other ministries and pastors with special projects or by handling specific assignments and non-routine matters.

JOB PROFILE:
SPECIFIC SKILLS / STRENGTHS

Must have excellent communication/customer service skills and be able to interface with Chase Oaks Church staff and those that attend Chase Oaks Church
Must be a strong recruiter, trainer, and delegator of volunteers
Must have strong relational skills and experience organizing and executing events, and be comfortable with organizing and tracking contacts on an ongoing basis.
Must be a lifelong learner
Must have strong organizational skills
Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently in carrying out assignments to completion

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

Minimum three years related experience leading teams and training, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

EDUCATION DESIRED

Minimum of a college degree and one year of theological education (Examples: College, Seminary, Open Bible Academy, BSF, etc.).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will supervise a core leadership team of volunteers.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak effectively and understandably on the phone
Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding Chase Oaks ministries
Great attention to customer service

COMPUTER SKILLS

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendar, and email
Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with databases

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
