A large, dynamic parish in Plano is looking for a Ministry Assistant to provide administrative support to the Pastor. Additionally, the position is responsible for Sacramental Records, scheduling Baptisms and Baptism classes, working with couples to prepare for the sacrament of Marriage and age, and planning their weddings. This Ministry Assistant also sets appointments for the priests, greets visitors to the main parish office, and works closely with the Worship Department, the Family Life Department, and Pastoral Care and Social Justice ministries. Job Requirements
This position requires a working knowledge of the Catholic faith and a helpful, friendly attitude. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated proficiency with computer programs and databases are required. Successful candidates will preferably have five years of administrative assistant experience. Experience with marriage preparation procedures is preferred, as are Bi-lingual (Spanish) communication skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
