About Heart + Soul Church
Heart + Soul Church is a 1-year-old, life-giving, modern, and diverse church located in Princeton, Texas, just one hour north of Dallas. Our mission is to do whatever it takes to help people find and follow Jesus, and our vision is to see every heart healed, and every soul saved. As a new church, we’ve grown from an average of 130 attendees in our first month to 230 within the first year, with several of our recent services peaking between 250-300. Why does this matter? This matters because every number has a name, and every word matters to Jesus. We currently meet in a 600 seat High School auditorium and set up/tear down each week. We have one service that meets at 10 am, and we only rehearse on Sunday morning after setup.
About our Worship Team
We are firmly committed to making sure the big picture is headed in the right direction, and the minute details keep people focused and not distracted. As a worship team, we pursue excellence in our craft and responsibilities while maintaining authenticity and spontaneity from beginning to end. Though we also play the occasional song from Passion or Hillsong, our primary influences are Bethel, Mosaic MSC, UPPER ROOM, Elevation, and Maverick City. We allow the spirit to move in our worship, but we also believe that God works through our organization and planning just as in the moment.
About The Worship Leader Role
We have a multiple-worship leader style setup like you'll find in most modern large churches. This position will work within a team of vocalists and musicians and is directly supervised by our Worship Pastor. Currently, the Worship Leader role is a staff position that can increase responsibility, time consumption, and compensation as the church grows. As a new and growing church meeting in a portable location, the person in this role needs to be flexible to their responsibilities week to week. This person will play electric guitar, be a backup vocalist throughout a standard set, lead songs as needed or as fitting, and fill in as the primary worship leader.
Tentative Weekly Time Consumption(8hrs):
4.5 Hours - Sunday Morning (Set-Up/Tear Down, Run-Through, Worship Service)
1.5 Hours - Assisting with Technology/Organization From Home
1 Hour - Practicing at Home
1 Hour - Weekly Staff Meeting
Role Responsibilities:
- Play Electric Guitar as your primary instrument during every Sunday service at H+S
- Lead songs as requested throughout a regular worship set
- Be the primary Worship Leader at least once a month
- Assist in providing direction to musicians and vocalist
- Attend weekly church staff meeting
- Practice and prepare for service ahead of time
- Assist with an area of preparation or organization of technology before service (ProPresenter/MultiTracks/Planning Center/Lightkey)
- Fill in on other roles as directed once trained (i.e., in-person audio, live stream audio, another instrument, etc.)
