First Unitarian Church of Dallas is seeking a part-time Music Associate to work with our Music Director to assist and enrich the church’s current music program. Job Description: Assist and enrich the current music program, working with:
• Two adult choirs • One children’s choir • Jazz combo
Other Duties: • Direct choir ensembles • Participate in Worship services • Plan, communicate and lead music ministry activities • Collaborate with other program directors as needed • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

Qualifications
• Superb singing skills • Ability to direct choral ensembles • Knowledge of jazz and/or popular musical genres • Piano, guitar and arranging skills are welcomed, but not required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and creative environment • Ability to lead/manage multiple projects and deadlines • Possesses a self-starter work ethic • Excellent capabilities with Microsoft Office applications (Office Suite) • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn to use Citrix and other software • Organizational skills
Education/Experience
• GED or High School Diploma, College or musical background • Experience in church setting preferred • Must pass background check
Compensation Range
• $30,000.00-$40,000.00/annually (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
Status • Non-Exempt employee
• Reports to the Music Director
Job Location & Working Hours • Location: 4015 Normandy Avenue, Dallas, TX 75205
• Work Week: Sunday-Thursday, Hours TBD • Position will begin in August or September 2022
