Responsibilities
2021-2022 School Year Beginning September 2021
Schedule: Tues/Thurs 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
Maintain a positive, nurturing, and loving environment.
Prior to children’s arrival, assist with set up of the room per lead teacher instructions.
Assist with snack preparations by getting the juice/crackers, etc.
As children and parents are arriving, receive bags/lunch and place appropriately in the classroom.
Assist with leading, organizing and directing the children through each routine activity.
Play with children as they wait for parents to pick them up.
Once children have left, clean mats, vacuum, tidy room, and place dirty sheets/blankets in laundry room.
All other responsibilities as assigned by the classroom lead teacher.
Qualifications
As a religious organization, all employees must affirm and adhere to the Church’s Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for involvement with the ministry. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.
Exhibit a growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord, and agree with the doctrinal statement of Northwest Bible Church.
Have a joyful passion for children and genuine interest in caring for them.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a teaching partner and team.
Ability to be flexible.
Must be 18 years old.
Able to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
Able to perform physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, standing, lifting, carrying and moving quickly.
Preferred: experience working with children.
