First Baptist Dallas seeks Christ-centered professionals who want to join a team of disciplined and talented superstars committed to working together to accomplish our mission. The part-time Preschool Music Associate will provide guidance, organization, and promotion of the Children’s Music Ministry under the direction of the Director of Kids Worship Arts and the Minister of Music & Worship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Direct and oversee Wiggle Worship choirs (Age 2-Kindergarten)
Plan, coordinate, and implement the functions of the Preschool Music Ministry
Collaborate with Kids Cove to plan and lead preschool Sunday School large group time, First Friday music, and Plus One More music
Assist Director of Kids Worship Arts as needed
Support and participate in the Music & Worship ministry of First Baptist Dallas
Perform routine office work, data entry, budget management, and copying
Attend church staff meetings and services as needed
Facilitate leadership team planning meetings
Direct preschool choir public performances
Manage the resource room, prepare equipment, and move items as needed each week
Plan and oversee 1-2 retreats and/or conference/training times per year
Establish, plan, and execute overall vision, purpose, and ministry goal
Enlist, train, and equip volunteer leadership teams for preschool children
Write and/or choose curriculum and music
Conduct research and development for coming semesters
Function in an interactive and cross-functional relationship with all other ministries and support areas of the church
Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Kids Worship Arts and/or the Minister of Music & Worship

Must be fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas
Must be committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally
Must possess characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)
Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry
Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles
Must have an Associate’s Degree in Music Education and/or Early Childhood Development; preferably some Bachelor’s level studies in Music Education and/or Early Childhood Development
Prior experience leading preschool/children’s choirs
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and families
Physical
Ability to sit and stand for 2-4 hours
Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for 2-4 hours
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
