The President has overall responsibility for the management of All Saints Catholic School (ASCS). The President is not responsible for the day to day governing of the school but ensuring that the mission and vision of the school is successfully executed. In a school with the President/Principal model, the Principal attends to the internal matters, such as Catholic identity, curriculum, discipline, athletics, service projects, supervising teachers, and working with parents. The President is focused outward. The President is the school’s visionary leader and principal institutional spokesperson for the school in five major categories: (1) Vision, (2) Fundraising, (3) Public Relations, (4) Marketing, and (5) Recruitment of students and their families. The leadership team consisting of the Principal, Admissions Director, Development Director, Bookkeeper, and Facilities Coordinator report to the President.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

VISION
o Keep abreast of trends, developments, and research as they pertain to the future of education and schools.
o Set aside time to gain in-depth understanding of ASCS.
o Initiate focus groups to gather opinions and ideas.
o Create and run periodic surveys to understand issues important to the constituency.
o Create synergistic opportunities with the parish and outside community.
FUNDRAISING
o Create a strategic fundraising plan.
o Develop and implement themes for marketing and fundraising.
o Meet with donors and actively manage donor relationships.
o Ensure that the annual fund campaign and other fundraisers are implemented appropriately.
o Manage stakeholder giving and school involvement.
o Identify, cultivate, and solicit current and potential donors and sponsors, such as current parents, alumni parents, corporations, and foundations for all major capital endeavors.
o Identify, cultivate, and secure legacy giving donors through wills, life insurance, trusts and retirement plan designations to initiate a school endowment program.
o Research and write grant proposals with the Development Director that support segments of the school’s long-range capital improvement plans.
o Ensure all donors and gifts receive proper acknowledgement (gratitude phone calls, personal notes, invitations, etc.) and follow IRS rules and guidelines.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
o Serve as chief spokesperson for ASCS.
o Communicate with the general public through professionally prepared materials and literature.
o Ensure that external messaging is consistent with the climate, culture, mission, and tone of ASCS.
o Attend appropriate meetings and functions related to institutional advancement and public relations.
o Ensure the ASCS website and its social media profiles are active, current, engaging, and professional.
o Attend all major school community and parish events.
o Develop lasting & beneficial partnerships with local organizations (universities, high schools, business, etc.).
o Develop and implement an advancement plan and marketing plan with the appropriate committees.
RECRUITMENT
o Oversee all recruitment and admission activities.
o Develop a marketing plan and strategy to bring new students and families to the school.
o Regular communication and implementation of recruitment and enrollment strategies with the assistance of the Principal and the Admission Director. Organize periodic meetings with home room parents to discuss school successes and recruitment strategies.
o Ensure all marketing materials for the school are of the highest quality.
ADMINISTRATIVE/GENERAL DUTIES
o Develop, follow, and monitor the yearly planning budget.
o Approve the hiring or dismissal of faculty and staff members based on the Principal’s recommendations.
o Review and approve the Faculty, Employment & Student Handbooks with the Principal or Leadership Team.
o Regularly attend professional meetings and conferences.
o Management and appraisal of the leadership team.
o Attend Pastoral Advisory Council (PAC) meetings on a quarterly basis.
o Attend/Lead the School Advisory Council (SAC) meetings.
o Meet with the Pastor at least once a month.
o Participate in the monthly Parish Staff Meeting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)
Passionate about Catholic schools and adept at explaining the benefits of a Catholic education
A team player able to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to maintain a professional appearance showing exceptional professionalism in terms of presentation across written, spoken and in-person interactions
Strong strategic research, planning and organizational skills
Ability & willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends
Understanding of the Catholic Church & traditions
Proven fundraising and/or revenue-generating success
Demonstrative ability to build, maintain, and mentor strong teams
Excellent leadership and management skills
Creative and flexible – a problem solver
Exceptional soft skills and ability to be collegial with a wide variety of personalities
Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to others and hold them accountable for achieving results

Education and Experience

Master’s Degree in Business or Marketing is preferred
