Clergy Receptionist and Administrator

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer and screen incoming calls with a positive and helpful spirit, directing to appropriate staff/clergy when applicable
  • Greet and screen guests and parishioners, serve as a gatekeeper—courteous to each person while protecting staff and clergy time
  • Remain knowledgeable of all events, classes, services, and events held at the church
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of various administrative needs of the clergy
  • Manage membership transfer requests as needed
  • Manage attendance reports each Monday and circulate them to appropriate personnel – Sunday school, events, worship, nursery, DiscipleShip, etc.
  • Manage communication cards each Monday by updating contact information in the database, ensuring the database is up to date at all times
  • Manage the logistic and administrative needs of the connection ministry including but not limited to:
  • Coordinate with Connection Minster to send out scheduled pre and post-communication to attendees for membership lunch
  • Update and order collateral when needed
  • Manage all promotion requests by specified deadlines
  • Prepare Membership packets
  • Coordinate catering and facilities set up including signage and check-in specifics for membership lunch
  • Input data received from cards into database and compile specified demographic data from attendees

Education, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with customer management software (eSpace, FellowshipOne, Raptor, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, especially effective verbal communication
  • Highly confidential
  • Proactive, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Service-minded, flexible, and adaptable
  • Execute and prioritize multiple tasks at a time with minimal supervision
  • Strong name and face recognition

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Friday: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

*Select Sundays for new member lunches and all-staff events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dallas, TX 75204: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
