Essential Job Functions:

Student Team Lead

  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to the student team at the Colleyville camps, ensuring that the team is working collaboratively and at a high level. This includes providing ongoing feedback and annual reviews.
  • Serve as the final decision maker on budget decisions involving the Colleyville Student Ministry.
  • Lead the CV student team toward our “Large Event” efforts, including camps, Move up Events, and any other large events that occur in a calendar year.
  • Lead as a “team player,” influencing and caring for our student efforts across all campuses.
  • Approve timecards and PTO when applicable.
  • Uphold Compass Christian Church's mission, core values, and 12 staff commandments.
  • Attend all required meetings at Compass Christian Church (Staff and Team).
  • Every staff member is expected to fully engage in the ministry of the church. This includes attending a weekend service, attending Rooted, and participating in Compass Church's generosity initiative.

Student Pastor (Culture and Evangelism)

  • Work alongside the Student Discipleship pastor to create the Student Content calendar, as well as assign teaching to various student pastors throughout the year.
  • Teach routinely in student environments.
  • Create environments that go beyond the “walls” of our ministry designed for students far from God. This role is the primary driver that creates and casts engaging invitations that result in first-time guests.
  • Work alongside the rest of the student team to build a follow-up process with First Time Guests, ensuring new students are given a great experience.
  • Work alongside the Student Operations pastor to ensure our Small Group Structures are healthy and multiplying.
  • Build an Evangelism Team, which both trains adult leaders to walk kids through a personal decision for Jesus, as well as plans experiences that move students a decision for Jesus.
  • Intentionally cultivate relationships with coaches, teachers, and key leaders in the community.
  • Regularly meet with and develop Adult volunteers.

Work Schedule:

 Full-Time—Student pastors are expected to work "office hours" Monday-Thursday, attend weekend services, and lead student programming at the campus-specific gathering times.

  • Friday and Saturday are staff off days.

Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in Student Ministry

  • Must have a servant’s heart for ministry, serving with a positive attitude and spirit
  • Previous staff and volunteer supervision experience are necessary to be considered for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate in writing and verbally with a variety of audiences.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Scripture and an ability to teach effectively and apply Scriptural principles in all areas of ministry.
  • Be of moral and spiritual integrity in all areas of walk and life.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of this position which include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, and must be capable of lifting to 50 pounds on occasion.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, additional seminary experience is a plus.
