BASIC REQUIREMENT:
 
- Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in the New and Old Testaments of the Holy Bible.
- Bachelor's degree
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
 
- The Student Services Coordinator will oversee Disability Student Services and Accommodations.
- Assist the Associate Dean of Students in general correspondence, communication, administrative matters, and operation of office. Other miscellaneous duties designated by Student Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
- The Student Services Coordinator should have a desire to mentor and work with college students.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
- Provides support for the Associate Dean of Students and the Director of Student Success.
- Assists the Director of Student Success with At-Risk student intervention.
- Organizes and facilitates meetings and special services for students with accommodations, providing students with access to resources and information.
- Composes and prepares written documentation and correspondence to students and maintains detailed records of disability services provided to students.
- Organize and facilitate various Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation arrangements for students.
- Provides academic, social, and general university support to students through various methods such as meetings, events, intervention, and advocacy.
- Maintains the Disability Students timeline, updating and managing as needed.
- Sends accommodation notification emails to professors each term and maintains working relationships with DBU Faculty for purposes related to office responsibilities.
- Strictly honors student confidentiality and privacy according to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines.
- Serves in other areas of Student Life within the University such as serving as a student chapel service host, attending all convocations, candlelighting, SWAT, New Patriot Orientations, commencements, and other RecLife/Student Life activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Students and/or the Vice President for Student Affairs
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
