At The Grove, we believe that students can begin their own personal journey to know and live like Jesus from a young age, which is why our youth director oversees preteen (4th/5th) through teenage/student ministries (6th-12th). For 4th/5th grade programming, the Grove Youth Director will coordinate with the GroveKids Director to implement curriculum and lead volunteers in the preteen classroom on Sunday morning. For Confirmation (6th grade), the Grove Youth Director will utilize the existing curriculum to lead students through Confirmation and work with volunteers to coordinate outside events. The Youth Director will also lead GroveYouth (7th-12th) regular Sunday evening programming and small group events.
The Youth Director will cast vision for all youth ministry at The Grove, plan large and small group gatherings, deliver large group messages, expand the size and quality of the ministry, and partner and equip youth parents. He/she will serve as the primary pastoral presence to all Grove youth and their parents and lead parents into being the primary disciple makers in their children's lives. An exceptional candidate will be an experienced leader, energetic and passionate about student ministry, highly organized and a good communicator.
