Pastor Cliff began his ministry over 13 years ago in Butzbach, Germany when God called him to the ministry from a life of drugs, hate, and a humanistic mentality. In 1981, he started a bible study in the Army Barracks. Later that year, the German American Church was formed, from 5 members to over 350 today. After leaving the Army in 1983, The Word of Faith Worship Center was birthed out of a home bible study of two families and now has over 3300 members. Pastor Lewis was then called back into the military in 1986. While stationed at The Red River Depot in Texarkana, TX, he began a bible study in an abandoned Nazarene Chapel, which increased to 80 members in one year.
In 1987, he was ordained in the Baptist Church, then received his local ministry license through the Church of the Nazarene in January 2000 and was ordained in 2007. The call on his life is one of an evangelist, teacher, and pastor. He was educated at the David Wilkerson School of Ministry in Germany, The School of Chaplain Assistant in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and received his Bachelor of Biblical Studies at Friends International Christian University in Mercer California.
Pastor Lewis retired from the military with 23 years of service to our country and presently works as a military science instructor (JROTC) with the mission to motivate young people to become better citizens. He is happily married to Alane Lewis. Pastor Lewis and his wife recently relocated to the Woodbridge area from Houston Texas to launch a new start to bringing about a God consciousness to the area (an awareness of God that cannot be denied.)
