About this event

Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other differences require a specific set of understandings and skills for success in music classes and ensembles. This workshop focuses on the three main areas of difference in students and ways to work within their needs to make an inclusive and positive music experience possible. This workshop is active, participatory, and fun!

Participant information:

Workshop materials are targeted toward music teachers of grades ECE-8.

Participants may bring their own rhythm instruments/drums or use those provided.

Coffee and light snacks will be provided and are included in the price of the ticket.

Free parking can be found in the lot and on the streets surrounding the church.

COVID protocols:

Proof of vaccination and/or a negative test within 48hrs of event is required for entry.

Participants who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should refrain from attending. If attendees cancel due to sickness, we will refund your ticket.

We will try for 3 ft. distance between participants whenever possible.

Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Masks must be worn by all participants while in the building, regardless of vaccination status. Tight-fitting KN95 or N95 masks are recommended. Participants may remove masks while eating/drinking.

HEPA filters will be used during the workshop.
