SUMMARY: Assists the Director with the daily operation of the program. Develops and maintains outreach for immigration services to faith-based communities in the Archdiocese of Denver. Assists with resource development. Performs secretarial and receptionist duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Develop, conduct and maintain an immigration services outreach and community education plan including faith-based communities
  • · Cultivate partnerships and contacts with other organizations, government agencies, firms and businesses
  • · Assist in researching and identifying funding opportunities, writing proposals and grants and grant reporting
  • · Promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics. Is able to articulate and defend the church’s teachings.
  • · Models Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with respect and dignity
  • · Assist in maintenance of case management and data systems
  • · Assist in providing document translation services
  • · Assist in recruitment and training of volunteers
  • · Answers phone, responds to messages, schedule appointments and greets clients
  • · Processes incoming and outgoing mail
  • · Maintains office equipment, office supplies and program accounting records
  • · Provides general administrative assistance to the Director

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • · Bilingual in Spanish with written and verbal fluency required

  • · Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Excel required

  • · Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • · Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • · Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • · Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work under deadlines

  • · Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.

  • · Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university required. Two years of administrative support experience preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $17.00-$19.00/hour DOE
