Job Summary: Spirit of Christ Catholic Community hires an individual to manage the audio, video, and lighting systems for all masses, funerals, weddings, and special events. This position reports to the Pastor and maintains a close working relationship with the Liturgist, Music Director, and Facilities Manager while recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to carry out various roles in support of these Ministries.

Essential Duties

  • Meet the needs of the staff and community in presenting quality media through audio and video systems.
  • Provide oversight, training, encouragement, and recruitment of volunteers.
  • Maintain Audio, Visual, and Lighting equipment, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/resolving problems.
  • Keep track of multiple projects, tasks,s, and scheduling for operations of the audio, video, and lighting needs.
  • Research vendor relationships to provide timely and cost-competitive service and purchasing as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an AVL environment setting up, maintaining, and operating professional audio, video, and lighting equipment.
    • Preferred competence in maintaining and repairing AVL equipment,
      • including light LV electrical, soldering, terminating, and dressing LV cables of all types.
    • Preferredessentialc IT and networking skills.
      • Willingness to gain training and certifications on equipment.
    • Basic video and photo editing skills are a bonus. Graphic design experience is helpful
  • Experience directly managing volunteers or employees
  • Familiarity with the Roman Catholic liturgy.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Maintain a lifestyle committed to living the Faith as we are an example to those we lead.
  • (Preferred) Certification from a professional organization such as AVIXA (CTS)
  • (Preferred) AA/S or higher degree in a related field of Audio, video, lighting production
