Essential Functions:

  1. Work with the Bookstore & Café team to assist customers with purchasing items, ordering coffee, etc.
  2. Clean the Bookstore & Café area, including syrup pumps, coffee pots, towels, and other equipment and spaces.
  3. Ensure the coffee bar remains stocked, including but not limited to cups, lids, snacks, coffee sleeves, cold drinks and syrups, and notifying manager when supplies are low.
  4. Make drinks (regular coffee and special drinks) or take orders as needed.
  5. Run the cash registers as needed.
  6. Help run the bookstore.
  7. Perform other duties, as needed.

 

Time Requirements:

This position will be completed in 14.5 hours a week, including Sundays and some weekdays. Some evenings and holidays are required.

 

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, desktop computers and telephones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand for sustained periods of time; lift, push, pull items in excess of 25 lbs; walk and reach with hands and arms.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Professional/Education

  1. Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.
  2. Barista experience a plus.

  2. A passionate desire to see people come to know, love and follow Christ in the context of real community.

  1. Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
