Church accountant
Central Presbyterian Church in downtown Denver is seeking a part time accountant. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting, experience working with accounting software and ability to use Realm, the church-based software used by Central, and preferably experience with nonprofit accounting. A balance of remote and onsite work is available with at least one day per week on site.
Primary responsibilities included preparation of monthly financial reports, payroll for the small staff of 5 employees, A/P and the annual 990. The annual church budget is approximately $800,000. The position will interact with the church Budget and Finance Committee to respond to questions about the financial reports and the church’s finances.
The position may also work for a separate nonprofit within the church, Heartbeat Denver, which oversees the use of the church as a venue for concerts and events.
