Platt Park Church Position:
Preschool Director Hours: 12 hours/week
Compensation: $20/hour
Overview: The preschool director helps children and families become passionate, devoted followers of Christ by overseeing birth-kindergarten at Platt Park Church.
Key Responsibilities: Volunteers (includes Jr Vols): staffing 4 classrooms on Sunday mornings during two worship services. Nursery, 2's, 3-4's & Kindergarten Recruiting volunteers Training volunteers Care & appreciation of volunteers Curriculum: Preparation Implementation Implementing Policies and Procedures Volunteer screening and background checks Application Interview/personal connection Background check Reference check Check in/check out system Safety procedures Sundays: Preparation before (1 hour) Clean-up after (1 hour after) Paying and training childcare workers Teaching as needed Welcoming new families: Greeting and guiding new families in the preschool wing Making sure new families get into the integration process Liaison between Platt Park Children's Center (preschool) and Platt Park Church www.plattparkchurch.org
