PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY - (Essential Functions, Leadership, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Oversee all Coffee Cart operations.
- Secure and organize the volunteers to run the coffee cart on Sunday’s and other days a scheduled.
- Train, direct, and delegate work assignments to volunteers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment.
- Establish point of service (POS) duties, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure cash handling procedure are upheld.
- Order, purchase, and/or schedule delivery and safe storage of all products.
- Keep beverage production facilities and equipment in clean and proper repair.
- Make sure that all towels and aprons are clean and neat.
- Serve great coffee, tea, and treats.
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
Works in conjunction with the Discipleship VIT Staff Lead for setting the direction and operation of the Coffee Cart. Coordinates all financial transactions through the finance office using approved procedures.
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises volunteers to assure best practices in food service, hospitality, and good customer service.
COMMUNICATION/WORKING RELATIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS: The Coffee Manager engages with the congregation, volunteers and staff of Bethlehem. They work closely with Connect Teams on Sunday morning.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms. Able to lift under 30 lbs. and frequently bend and twist from the waist. Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms. Must be able to focus on distant and close-range projects. Regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be 18 and have a High School Diploma. Good math and people skills a plus. Management experience preferred.
