Full Job Description
Montview Church is an active and vibrant congregation with century-long leadership in mission, social justice, progressive theology and music in Denver. We embody a unique, distinctive perspective that blends both tradition and contemporary relevance.
We are seeking an energetic, detail oriented, friendly professional who thrives on creating high quality media content for multiple digital platforms in a busy, complex ministry setting. The right candidate will be responsible for the creation of videos, photos, and graphics that promote Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church and our ministry brand. The coordinator will be responsible for all phases of content creation to include concept, creative, shooting, editing, and converting for use in marketing and social media.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary creative manager for recording, editing and uploading livestream recording of weekly worship services across multiple platforms
- Produce weekly high-quality, creative videos and photos for a variety of digital platforms that include promotional pieces, storytelling, testimonials videos, sermon clips, and more.
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members engagement
- Optimize church's digital presence within each platform to increase the visibility of church’s social content
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
- Collaborate with Communications Coordinator and Communications Committee on overall digital ministry presence
- Manage freelance contractors and church volunteers involved with digital ministry
Qualifications
- Commitment to vision and mission of Montview Church
- Proven working experience in multicamera video production, vlogging, live streaming, and social media marketing with strong portfolio.
- Excellent design, writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, SEO and CRO
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Positive attitude, detail oriented and impeccable organization management
- Fluency in English
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in film, media, photography or a related field; or at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in video and online production
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with creative software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and videography systems (Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effect, Final Cut)
- Technical knowledge of all aspects of video editing, including importing content, working with a variety of compression formats, basic audio mixing and exporting to different digital media formats
- Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedure in video production, graphic design, and storytelling
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position with flexible schedule, but includes working on Sunday mornings. Days and hours can vary with special events.
