Job Summary:
The Director of Administrative and Programmatic Support provides administrative, communication, and operations services to support and assist the Wellshire staff in the work of the church. This is an exempt position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Communications:

 Serve as the "face" of Wellshire Presbyterian Church; ensure that the front desk is staffed and the phone is answered live during business hours.

 Create and maintain a vibrant social media presence for WPC.

 Support pastoral and program staff in their use of social media channels.

 Work with other communications staff to ensure a comprehensive and complimentary on-line presence through social media, website, and congregation-wide emails.

 Manage crisis communications via all channels (ie: weather closings, death in the congregation, cancellation of other WPC events, etc.)

 Be the staff expert for the church management system, train other staff as needed or requested.

Administrative:

 Provide administrative support to staff and key volunteers: copies, reports, filing, direct mailings (such as stewardship campaign) and other church-wide correspondence, etc.

 Maintain the church calendar, both public and private.

 Order office, janitorial, fellowship supplies, food, etc. as needed and requested.

 Recruit, train, and supervise administrative volunteers; schedule as needed.

 Support programmatic ministries with administrative, communications, and technical needs.

Operations:

 Be familiar with office systems: phones, copier, postage machine, etc.

 Serve as the primary contact for groups using space at WPC.

 Manage events: receive building use requests for non-music events, accept or deny requests in conjunction with other staff,

Minimum Requirements:

 College/Associates Degree

 Experience working in a mainline protestant church.

 Strong interpersonal skills.

 Strong computer skills and experience.

Physical Requirement:
Position requires ability to lift, hold, and carry up to 45 pounds for short distances.
Position also requires work at a computer keyboard (typing, processing) and screen, sometimes for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
