PURPOSE OF POSITION: *
A Donor Communications Associate at Catholic Charities:
Provides support to the development team in many development activities, including agency lead for Colorado Gives Day, administrative support for the recurring giving club managed by the development team, oversight of a portfolio of mid-tier donors, and providing support to Donor Relations Management with various tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support to Donor Relations Management with tasks such as gift processing and calls.
  • Coordinates agency action items for Colorado Gives Day, including collaboration with marketing on collateral and deliverables, internal communication, donor communications, and reporting.
  • Maintains and grows the recurring giving club through standard communication and acquisition campaigns
  • Monitors an extensive portfolio of mid-tier donors and sends essential communications to drive engagement, including a monthly digital newsletter; identifies donors ready for central gift management
  • Keeps detailed and timely records of communication and interactions with donors.
  • Communicates regularly with donors to maintain relationships, answer questions, inform on upcoming events, etc.
  • Executes action items that result from donor contact.
  • Corresponds appropriately with significant donors to acknowledge donations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with a variety of constituents through excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to enthusiastically promote Catholic Charities’ mission and services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and fundraising databases required
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and delivery, including meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE*
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university; two to four years of related experience/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: *
Salary: Starting at $50,000 salary/year with increases commensurate with experience & education.
Schedule: * Dependent on location. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Training supplied within the first year of employment includes De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.
