Essential Functions and Objectives:

  • Manages the church facility and campus to serve the mission and vision of the church.
  • Plans and organizes minor and major projects related to facility and campus.
  • Organizes and supervises team to accomplish tasks and projects.
  • Organizes team schedules and clarifies priority of projects.
  • Develops team of full-time, part-time, contract employees, and volunteers
  • Develops and maintains contracts with outside labor.
  • Secures and manages quotes from vendors.
  • Responsible for outside grounds and campus, including parking lots.
  • Manages various vehicles for maintenance, current insurance, and licensing.
  • Responsible for multiple buildings and systems.
  • Responsible for setup and tear down, cleaning, opening and locking buildings, projects, regular maintenance.
  • Responsible for best use of supplies to maintain the facilities and campus.
  • Responsible for facility and campus emergencies, on call 24/7, including fire and security alarms that alert.
  • Manages budget for facilities and campus.
  • Manages “Energize Denver” environmental goals.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

  • Prefer at least three (3) years of related experience including supervisory experience.
  • Experience in supervising a small team.
  • Pass background check required.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.

Skill Requirements:

  • Organizational skills to plan projects, schedule projects, and oversee team members delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience with or able to become familiar with facility equipment, minor maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, plumbing, electrical devices, elevators, furniture, mechanical devices, and building fixtures.
  • Demonstrate and seek a wide variety of skills in leadership, organizational, problem solving, mechanical, and detail orientated characteristics.
  • Communication skills with team members, supervisor, church staff and members, contract labor, vendors, and volunteers.

About Riverside Church:
Riverside is a seventy-year-old church with a 150,000 sqft facility space and 6 acre campus near downtown Denver. Our buildings were built in the late 70s and mid 90s with various upgrades.
We are excited about the future with opportunities to improve our facilities and campus to carry out our mission and vision. We are looking for a Facilities Director to be part of our team that works closely together to serve our people and community.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
