Duties & Responsibilities:

Trains, supervises and delegates responsibilities to the Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher’s Aides, and classroom volunteers
Oversees the daily workflow of the classroom
Coordinates and implements classroom curriculum by developing activities based on appropriate practices and early learning standards
Plans individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children to encourage social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development
Implement a Christian education program including daily devotionals, bible stories, and prayer
Builds and maintains a positive relationship with parents and families; frequently communicating with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
Uses teaching assessment tools (Teaching Strategies GOLD) to track each child’s progress and to develop a specific plan of action to aid each child’s development
Creates and submits weekly lesson plans that incorporate the use of the teaching assessment tools to develop the most effective learning and development strategies for each child’s progress
Works with CEC Leadership to ensures all center policies, state regulations, and other performance standards are met
Ensures a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
