Description
Job purpose
To change lives of men facing crises by directing a boarding home which assists with housing, employment, education, sobriety and Christian discipleship.
Duties and responsibilities
Oversee the overall operations of the LightHouse
Meet regularly with LightHouse staff
Oversees the cooking responsibilities and kitchen
Collect Rent & Manage budgets
Address maintenance/health issues (i.e. bed bugs) to appropriate entities
Ensure effective communication between staff
Promote a team spirit/mentality among staff
Oversee the on-duty schedule
Oversee resident orientations and selection process
Develop and maintain resident leases
Lead in the discipleship of the residents
Ensure that Bible studies are covered, occasionally lead
Perform filing, paperwork, and other administrative duties including monthly and annual reports and resident outcomes, send monthly and annual reports to the Grant Writer
Help recruit volunteers and keep them informed/involved
Keep brochure and other promotional materials updated
Network with other community organizations (referrals and services)
Enlist the help of supporting churches, groups, and individuals
Assist grant writer with proposals and reports as needed
Communicate maintenance needs to maintenance staff or supervisor as appropriate
Will attend ODM/ODF quarterly Chapel and ODM monthly staff meetings
This position is required to attend Open Door Fellowship Church for one year
Qualifications
Familiar with Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree or high education preferred
Ability to facilitate discipleship through individual and group Bible study
Previous residential experience, and/or training in addictions and mental health issues are a plus

Lead in being a heartfelt team member of the Open Door Ministries staff
Have a daily walk with Christ
Show respect for the leadership and members of Open Door Fellowship

Commitment to excellence as one of the public faces of the ministry
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work environment is both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor activities can be in extreme weather conditions such as rain, snow or high temperatures
This job involves sitting, standing, climbing stairs and walking
This job involves moving up to 30 pounds
