RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be on time, every time, or give adequate notice if unable to work. Regular hours are Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM. Some evenings on Christian holidays are required, like Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. Other evenings or special events may be requested as available.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for families of all backgrounds and abilities. This includes following Covid-19 safety protocols (masks required, wipe down gently used toys, sanitize toys as needed).
- Warmly welcome and register each child, building trust and confidence, as you explain our procedures and take note of all special needs and requests.
- Offer age-appropriate care: holding, rocking, soothing, bottle feeding, putting down for naps, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, and actively playing on the floor.
- Receive training in and ensure full compliance with Safe Sanctuaries policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years or older. Childcare experience and background check required.
- Have certification or willingness to be trained in CPR and Safe Gatherings (United Methodist protection protocols).
- Wellness: Demonstrates spiritual health and emotional intelligence/maturity.
- Collaborative: Enjoys working with others, gives and constructively receives feedback.
- Relational: Shows genuine interest in responding to the hopes and concerns of all families so that all are affirmed. Cultivates a space that feels warm, welcoming, and safe for all people.
- Dependable: Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity. Fulfills expectations in a timely and thorough manner. Gives adequate notice if unable to work.
COMPENSATION
We are offering $15-20 per hour, depending on your experience, for two hires. Please send us your resume today - our nursery is currently being updated and repainted, but we'd love to reopen it on Easter Sunday, April 17th.

Staff must wear masks, and the entire church is strongly encouraged to do so; regular deep cleaning, nametags indicate preference: red=6+ft social distance, yellow=elbow/fist bumps ok, green=handshakes or hugs allowed.
