Full Job Description:
The Potter's House at ONE is seeking a Director of Outreach who will grow our community's efforts to be a bridge to those in need.
The ideal candidate is a Spirit-led visionary with a passion for people, strong relational skills, and a yearning for serving others.
This role is a full-time leadership position reporting to the Executive Pastor.
The Director of Outreach will be responsible for building and managing our vision of One Heart: Food Bank & Shelter, Youth Empowerment & Education, Crisis Response & Recovery, and Total Wellness.
Responsibilities include:
Lead in the community, develop the connections between the campus and local businesses, other local pastors, government entities, and invest in local outreach partnerships and relationships. Work with our Executive Team to plan, develop and execute programs towards our Global Footprints vision. Advise and equip our member volunteers to organize the selected mission events/projects. Strengthen our partnerships with the community by developing a good working relationship with local organizations and charities. Lead the effort to develop programming to reach people of all ages effectively.
Identify opportunities to integrate outreach opportunities into every aspect of the church regularly. Develop and implement an infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the Outreach Ministry Pastoral Care of congregation & benevolence requests.
Provide regular status updates to the Executive Pastor and Executive Team.
Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, participating in staff meetings and collaborative conversations. Manage and oversee the planning and use of the organization's outreach budget Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Executive Team on Fundraising/Giving Campaigns. Develop and lead the ministry's internship program. Manage regional strategies for outreach, inclusive of Serve Centers.
Connecting people in the broader community by creating sponsorship agreements and cultivating relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.
Qualifications:
Experience working in outreach or program development for non-profit organizations or churches Experience in management of both staff teams and volunteers Willingness to relocate to Denver, Colorado Willingness to travel regularly to Los Angeles, CA, and other Outreach regions Swiss Army Knife - Willing to both establish and execute the strategy Skills and Gifts:
