Receptionist/Administrative Support

The Receptionist/Administration Support person serves as a reliable and welcoming presence to all who come into or phone the parish and provides administrative, communication, and related office support to the Pastor, Parish staff, and parishioners. 

Essential Duties

  • Welcome and directs visitors
  • Answers main phone lines. screens and directs calls
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area
  • Assist with updates to Parishioner database
  • Facilitates Mass intentions and prayer requests
  • Administrative support to the Religious Education and Administrative Office Staff
  • Coordinating and sending out welcome packets
  • Assist with Sacramental Records
  • Mail duties
  • Prepare documents and correspondence as instructed
  • Coordinates timely opening and closing of the Parish Office

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, willingness to perform a variety of duties/projects.
  • Highly motivated and outstanding work ethic

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2+ years successful general receptionist/secretarial experience
  • Strong computer skills including experience successfully working with Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
