Foothills Bible Church is a non-denominational, community-focused Christian church nestled against the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Littleton, Colorado. Roughly 2,000 people call FBC their home church and attend one of our 2 Sunday worship times on campus or online. About the Role
Foothills Bible Church has a high standard in excellence for our production ministry as it plays a vital mission role to reach people through creative elements, weekend services, and live-streaming. FBC is in a healthy season of growth and has a consistent and skilled staff and volunteer support team for production. The Technical Director will report to the Worship Pastor and oversee the AVL staff and live production volunteers who support cameras, ProPresenter, video directing, audio and lighting.
The ideal Technical Director will be an audio engineer who will help shape the live sound in the room. This person should also possess lighting knowledge and have a creative eye to recognize effective live video and strive toward excellence in these areas. - Cast a compelling vision and manage priorities of weekly production with leaders, teammates, and volunteer teams.
- Create an infectious, positive tone in the production environment that leads to excitement and expectation.
- Provide technical expertise while recruiting and training volunteers in an environment to foster excellence and continual growth.
- Work in respectful partnership with the Word & Worship Team to organize, communicate and budget resources for current and future needs of equipment purchases, inventory logs, maintenance, and equipment replacement.
- Support the training and problem resolution of audio-visual presentation needs of multiple ministry leaders and volunteers who serve our Growth Groups, students & kids ministry programming on the FBC Campus.
The Ideal Candidate
- Beliefs align with FBC’s mission, vision, strategy, and doctrine.
- Possesses a testimony to demonstrate the power of God’s grace and redemption.
- 4+ years of technical and/or production experience, preferably at a church with a weekly average in person attendance of 700+ per service.
- A multi-faceted knowledge of media and the latest worship technology. This should include knowledge of lighting, digital audio consoles, com systems, multi-tracks, in-ear systems, soundscapes, livestream technology, video production, signal flow.
- Software experience with AVL systems and knowledge of ProPresenter, Planning Center Online and Ableton.
- Healthy relationship development with volunteers, staff, & technical experts.
- Welcomes growth and accountability and has a history of healthy conflict resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a desire to work in full-time ministry.
