Job Description:
The Technology Instructor provides direct instruction to students in grades K-8
promoting and supporting their computer literacy skills as Catholic digital citizens. The
instructor is also in charge of deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of
electronic devices such as projectors, smart boards, interactive tv's, Chromebooks,
Windows PCs and Mac devices. The instructor is the primary point of support for several users' needs, including password resets, software, and hardware
troubleshooting. The instructor maintains many programs and ensures that
licenses and renewals are up to date to prevent service interruptions. The
instructor oversees the onboarding and offboarding of users from Google’s cloud-based
directory service. Lastly, the instructor supports maintaining the School’s social media
accounts, including the school website and Facebook business page.
The ideal candidate has
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in education with a concentration in computer
science or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching computer science at the elementary and middle school
level
- Prior experience providing technical support or the curiosity and willingness to
learn
- Is passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence.
- Is self-motivated
