Essential Tasks and Duties:

  • Oversees and supports all administrative duties in the office to ensure that the office is operating smoothly including after hour events when the office is closed.
  • Performs receptionist duties when needed.
  • Organizes meetings and events.
  • Supervises and monitors the work of the receptionist and part-time assistant.
  • Maintains the Parish calendar and avoids logistical conflicts; Inputs all ministry events in the Church calendar after seeking authorization from Administrator/Pastor.
  • Prepares and maintains the Mass Schedule for Pastor/Administrator/Vicar, as well as visiting priest.
  • Prepares Accounts Payables for the bookkeeper to issue checks.
  • Prepares items to present in the Pastoral and Financial Council, as well as attends meeting to prepare minutes.
  • Maintains Volunteer and Ministry records.
  • Prepares letters for the Pastor/Administrator, as well as maintain his personal calendar and remind of meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in administrative/office management.
  • Able to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with employees.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure minimal mistakes.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Publisher.
  • Fully Bilingual: Strong Spanish & English communication skills required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church and parish structures.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,000.00 per year
