Summary The Human Resources Director (“HR Director”) of King Jesus International Ministry (the “Church”) serves as the face of the ministry to all Church members and visitors seeking employment with the Church.  The HR Director is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources Department. (“HR Department”) and must exercise keen spiritual discernment in selecting qualified candidates who are aligned with the vision of the Church to help carry out its mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Supernatural Power with people all over the world.  The HR Director provides practical, consistent and proactive support and direction and advice to the Church.  
The HR Director must lead and guide the HR Department and all staff of the Church in a manner which reflects the spiritual leadership provided by Apostle Guillermo Maldonado.  In light of the position’s high level of responsibility involved in overseeing all administrative and ministerial aspects of the HR Department, the HR Director must maintain a high level of spiritual maturity as they are seen as a spiritual leader in the church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
GeneralOversees the implementation of Human Resources programs and identify opportunities for improvement; manages the Human Resource Staff and their development; manages and monitors the Human Resources budget; prepares and submit human resources related reports to upper management.
BenefitsManages open enrollment; annual employee census for benefits review; assists with annual review of benefits program; and manages all benefits related programs.
StaffingOversees the development of job descriptions; recruiting; job postings and fairs; applicant review to ensure most competitive candidates for open positions and also spiritual maturity of candidates to ensure their beliefs are consistent with the church’s religious beliefs; interviews management level candidates; reviews and guides management recommendations for employment; oversees applicant screening process for onboarding; the orientation process; coordinates or conducts exit interviews;  reviews, reconciles and approve invoices for temporary staffing.
Employee RelationsAssists, guides, coaches and counsels with managers and employees with employee/employment related issues, including spiritual issues and matters regarding the Church’s belief system and statement of faith; conducts investigations, present findings and recommend course of action based on employment requirements and the religious belief system of the Church to the Legal Department; consults with legal counsel as appropriate on employee relations or investigative matters; monitors and advises management on the progressive discipline process; and monitors pay practices and makes equity adjustment recommendations where warranted.
Staff DevelopmentAssists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's performance evaluation and salary increase processes; develops, recommends, implements and/or participates in staff development for the organization; assists the administration department in the management of departments as needed; and provide pastoral level guidance, direction, prayer and counseling to the staff. 
PolicyAssists with the development of employee policies and guidelines; and communicates changes in the organization's employment policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is maintained. 
ComplianceMaintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all employment matters; and advises Administration of employment standards to ensure that the organization is within the legal requirements.

Professional Qualifications 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and strong written and verbal communication skills (English and Spanish preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to resolve problems by exercising independent judgment
  • Demonstrated proficiency to detail and handle multiple tasks 
  • Ability to convey difficult and challenging information to managers and employees.
  • Be a service-minded team player.


Spiritual Qualifications

  • Uncompromised commitment to the Church’s vision, values, core beliefs and statement of faith
  • Agree to be an active participant in King Jesus International Ministry.
  • Be a born-again Christian who conducts affairs in accordance with the Bible and maintains a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.
  • Understand that in this role, they are a critical part of the Church’s mission to bring the supernatural power of God to this generation, and that part of their responsibilities as a church employee includes being considered a spiritual leader in the church.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred.
