Full Job Description
Our Lady Queen of the Martyrs in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is looking for a creative, full-time K-8 Art Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This person will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate art program for all grade levels K-8. The candidate should be professional, disciplined, and a team player. The Art Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Art or related field.
- Florida Department of Education certificate is required, temporary or professional.
- Excellent classroom management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
- Excellent presentation skills with skill in the use of instructional technologies.
- The ability to engage and educate students of all grade levels K-8.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint, a plus.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
