St. Bernadette Catholic School in Hollywood, Florida is seeking for immediate hire, a qualified Middle School Language Arts / Religion Teacher for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school Language Arts and Religion. The candidate may be considered for the 2023-2024 school year and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Language Arts and/or Religion or related field.
- Florida Department of Education Teacher Certification in English or Reading, grades 5-9; temporary certificate required, professional preferred.
- Current Catechist certification preferred but may be in the process of obtaining certification for consideration.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills, including with use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in Google Classroom, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; other educational apps a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
