Full Job Description
St. Hugh Catholic School in Miami (Coconut Grove), Florida has an opening for a qualified English & Language Arts Teacher for grades 3rd -5th for this 2022-2023 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for ELA within the Gifted program for grade levels 3-5. The Elementary English & Language Arts teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Elementary Education, Language Arts, or related field.
- FDOE Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, temporary or professional required.
- Experience in instruction at the Elementary level.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
