The Church Pension Group (CPG) will soon conduct a panel discussion about its vision and finances.

As reported, the CPG is an insurance company that provides financial services to The Episcopal Church.

The faith-based financial company will host the virtual event on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 12:30 p.m.

CPG Leaders to Spearhead Webinar

According to Episcopal News Service (ENS), the CPG executives will lead the discussion.

Bishop Thomas J. Brown will reportedly head in organizing the financial webinar. He is the current chairman of The Church Pension Fund Board of Trustees.

CPG chief executive officer (CEO) and president Mary Kate Wold will also join the event.

Wold said that the CPG aims to assure the Church that the group takes the correct steps. Moreover, the president highlighted that CPG wants to "safeguard its financial strength."

In her explanation, the group strives to keep on serving the Church in its current capacities. The CPG CEO believes that it is critical, especially "in a time of so much uncertainty."

ENS reported that some of the CPG officials will also be present at the discussion.

CPG Urges Episcopalians to Attend

As per the report, the pension group called on parishioners to attend the virtual panel conversation.

The CPG urged all the clergy members, laymen, and laywomen to join the webinar. It asked volunteers and lay leaders who are serving the Church to take part in the discussion.

"I would encourage Episcopalians who have an interest in learning more to join us for this important conversation," Wold said.

Chief communications officer Patty Favreau will facilitate the panelists for the event. Aside from that, chief operating officer Frank Armstrong will also speak in the conversation.

Also joining the event will be Roger Sayler and Ellen Taggart. They are the chief investment officer and chief financial officer, and treasurer, respectively.

The CPG also encouraged Episcopalians to read its 2021 annual report. The report reportedly demonstrated the finance group's commitment to serving the Church.

The company said that participants might learn in the report how CPG meets the needs of people and institutions.

People could also know how it "makes key decisions about benefits, products, and services."
