Job Summary
This position is responsible for video broadcast and live streaming Sunday services and special events. This position has two major components: part Video directing and part Technical directing; a combination of calling the shots and taking the shots.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Support sermon content and worship environment by providing a distraction free space for congregation to worship.
- Direct and lead the Broadcast team of staff and volunteers for Sunday worship services
- Responsible for live stream, Vimeo/Facebook monitoring
- Ensure recorded materials are properly archive and on appropriate mediums
- Design and build graphical content to support lyrics, quotes, scripture and imagery for sermons and presentations
- Responsible for inventory, maintenance and repairs of video equipment with the opportunity to make recommendations to future purchases
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Gifts/Qualifications
- A well-rounded technical knowledge with experience in television production, video direction, and/or degree in appropriate field.
- Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, live broadcast environment
- Experience with a variety of production equipment including Black Magic Design, AJA, Project Pix, Granite 1000, including others.
- Familiar with digital video formats
- Experience with livestream broadcasting involving multiple live stream social platforms.
- Experience in video production composition, remote controlled and manual cameras
- Comprehensive knowledge of video and audio signal flow, preferable in a worship environment
- Ability to integrate animations and stills within switcher
- Ability to liaise with staff, volunteers and congregation in a professional and approachable manner
- Experience working with live event / technical production
- Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
Work Environment
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, lift articles weighing up 30 lbs
- Located in a comfortable indoor area, however, majority of work is in control room, and very cold
- Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
- Moderate noise levels
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
