Job Description This position oversees general operations of the church. This person would be required to coordinate with both South Orlando Baptist Church and Regency Christian Academy staff on the day to day operations of the campus. The primary responsibility will be to oversee the church finances as well as assist with the administrative operations and needs of the campus. Responsibilities include - 1. Work with church’s accounting firm to obtain a current grasp on all of the church’s financial status. 2. Run accounts payable for the church. This involves reimbursing church staff for ministry related expenses and working with the church’s accounting firm for updates and clarification on weekly reconciliations. 3. Manage bank accounts, including credit cards, in coordination with accounts payable needs. 4. Manage telephone system for SOBC including voicemail boxes. 5. Manage security camera system. 6. Manage trash removal operations, dumpster use and additional dumpsters as needed. 7. Interface with service/product vendors, current and new, e.g., DOT, air conditioning service, plumber, pest control, electrician, security/alarm company, fire extinguisher inspection service, Orange County inspectors, lawn maintenance, irrigation system, lock smith, waste management company, insurance companies, copier/office equipment companies, etc. 8. Perform periodic safety and security inspections of the facilities, e.g., fire extinguishers, exit and emergency lights, doors, grounds etc. 9. Work with county/city inspectors on all routine inspections. All repairs or changes to the campus must be performed in coordination with the church building and grounds team. Financial support for any major repairs or changes to the campus must be approved by the church finance team in cooperation with the Regency Christian Academy school board. 10.vSet up and operate audio and video equipment, screens TV/VCR’s/DVD’s, Chapel, etc. Take lead in training church members and school personnel in how to use the equipment. 11. Interface with sales representatives in person and/or on the phone. 12. Prepare and file Annual report to the Florida Department of State. Also prepare the church's annual report to the Florida Baptist Convention. 13. Coordinate with church maintenance director to perform minor maintenance for church and school, e.g., locks, lights, fence, doors, exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures, telephone system, desks, etc. Seek outside maintenance support for large maintenance needs. Work with church finance team and school board to coordinate financing for all large maintenance needs. 14. Arrange/provide facilities tours for church and serve, when needed, as a tour guide for school visitors. 15. Perform content updates to electronic sign. 16. Update SOBC website, app, and church social media. (Currently - Facebook, Vimeo, and Twitter) 17. Take initiative and lead in marketing for the church. 18. Oversee employee files, time off requests, background checks, and all aspects of on-boarding and separation of employment. This position will lead all church employee training. 19. Assist church members with financial inquiries into their own giving records and assist with answering general church financial questions. REQUIREMENTS: This job will require you to live locally in Orlando. Applicants need to have a clear Christian testimony and have a good track record of attendance and involvement in a Southern Baptist Church (or a church of similar faith and practice). The search team desires that you have experience and training in a finance/business related field.
