Church/Christian School Accountant

This position oversees not only the church finances, but also the general business needs of the church, coordinating with Regency Christian Academy on the day-to-day operations and needs of the campus.

Accounting Responsibilities/Job Duties (not limited to) -
1. Accounts Payable. (Church) Accounts Receivable (School)

2. Recording cash receipts/income.

3. Payroll processing with a 3rd party.

4. Bank and credit card reconciliations.

5. Reconciling general ledger accounts.

6. Compiling and verifying financial data and reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis to include preparing financial statements.

7. Annual Budgeting.

8. Maintain local, state, & Federal filing requirements.

9. Professionally maintaining banking, accounting, and other business relationships.

Office Administration Responsibilities/Job Duties (not limited to) -

1. Maintain Human Resources files for the church and Benefits Administration (for church and school).

2. Office Administration to include working with employees, church members/volunteers, and vendors to ensure campus needs are met whatever they may be.

Requirements -

1. Associates in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.

2. Accounting/Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)

3. Previous church or fund accounting experience preferred.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, and other Cloud Based Software applications.

5. Quickbooks products (Online and Desktop): 2 years (required)

6. Customer service oriented.

7. Applicants need to have a clear Christian testimony and have a good track record of attendance and involvement in a local church. All employees of South Orlando Baptist Church have to sign the church's statement of faith signifying that they are in cooperation with the church's belief's and practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
