SOUTH ORLANDO BAPTIST CHURCH SECRETARY/CO ADMINISTRATOR
Secretary Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Assisting the church and school staff with office and administrative needs.
- Editing and printing the weekly church bulletin.
- Managing the Church Membership Database.
- Assisting with incoming phone calls.
- Assisting with setting up appointments for ministerial staff.
- Assist with updates to the church website, church app, social media, and calendar (We can train you in this if needed).
- Create fliers for church events.
- Miscellaneous administrative and office needs.
- Provide weekly correspondence with Church visitors.
- Prepare Membership updates for the Church Business Meetings.
- Print Baby Dedication Certificates and Baptism Certificates.
- Assist with our food pantry ministry – disbursing food to families.
- Placing flower orders for bereavement.
Co-Administrative Duties to include, but not limited to:
Assisting the Church administrator.
Cross-training of the Church Administrator’s job to cover that position in the need of vacation or sickness.
Input of accounts receivable for the church’s tithes. (Takes 2-3 hours per week)
Assistance with running tithing records for members of the church.
Candidates must have:
- Experience with Microsoft Office and general/adequate computer skills
- A willing desire to learn - Good people skills
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus
- Active involvement and attendance in a local church
- A heart that is in charitable agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 – find at http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp
- A desire to help people
- Good health to be able to perform the job.
- Bilingual ability is preferred but not required (Spanish/English)
- The ability to serve Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5PM.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
