The goal is to cultivate a Christ-centered, life giving, passionate, and skillful culture of creative worship and production at City Place Church.
About the Creative Director:
The Creative Director at City Place Church will have the primary responsibility of growing and building dynamic teams that implement systems and strategies for worship and production. They will serve as the primary creative leader for weekly services and events at City Place Church.
The Creative Director will:
- Lead by example in the continued growth and spiritual maturity of the creative team and worship team
- Elevate and grow an ever-increasing culture of worship and creativity
- Promote and champion excellence in the Creative and Worship Departments
- Champion a personal lifestyle of worship and authenticity
- Develop and resource volunteers and leaders as needed
The effective Creative Director will achieve the following goals:
Christ-Centered Life at City Place
These objectives are accomplished by:
· Actively following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus. Committed to a daily worship time with God.
· Leading and participating in a City Place Church - City Group on a regular basis.
· Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.
· Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
· Supporting the vision of City Place Church by faithfully giving (tithe) at least 10% of income.
· Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of City Place Church employees.
Creative and Worship Development
Responsible for driving the creative direction of City Place Church including, but not limited to: service production, audio, video, lighting and worship.
This is accomplished by:
· Staying in touch with cultural trends to effectively connect the culture with the gospel.
· Sensitivity to regional and national spiritual dynamics and how they relate to City Place Church
· Understanding the creative DNA of City Place Church to effectively maximize production, series development, and promotions.
Creative Director Responsibilities
· Oversee the Creative teams by setting the overall direction, training, and support in the areas of audio, video, lighting, and assisting worship department for the church.
· Leads the overall process to recruit, onboard, develop, schedule and maintain a healthy volunteer base and culture.
· Coordinate the Creative demands for weekly and monthly services as well as special events and activities.
· Manages the projects and day-to-day work schedules of the Creative teams.
· In service planning with the Senior Pastor and Worship Team, strives to create a compelling weekend experience conducive to the direction of the weekend series or message.
· Continually develops and implements new creative and worship elements and initiatives.
· Worship Leading during weekend services or special events.

· Creative eye, and can develop and strategize new creative initiatives to help the ministry grow.
