Description:
The Diocese of Orlando has a longstanding partnership with our sister Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic. The Diocese is seeking a Director of the Mission Office who will oversee the relationship with the sister diocese, which includes coordinating the annual collection, collection, and shipping of materials and mission trips in education, construction, and medicine. This individual must be available for periodic trips to our sister diocese to coordinate operations with mission office staff in Orlando and the Dominican Republic. The director will lead a strategically important office within the Diocese and will be instrumental in developing its next strategic plan to chart its path to the future. The candidate needs to be confident leading others in prayer and giving presentations in parishes and schools throughout the Diocese.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies or related field; must be bilingual and have good writing and public speaking skills in English and Spanish. Individuals would have participated in mission trips under the Catholic tradition's theological perspective of mission work.
