Good Shepherd Catholic School is seeking a 3rd grade Elementary Florida Certified teacher for the 2022-2023 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. ESE & ESOL certified a plus. GSCS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience  in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the Good Shepherd mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University;
  • Current Florida Teaching Certificate;
  • Teaching experience preferred;
  • Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards;
  • Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines;
  • Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for elementary grade levels;
  • Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Good Shepherd Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church;
  • Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management;
  • Assess and document student progress;
  • Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students;
  • Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner;
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities;
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration;
  • Integrate technology effectively into the classroom
