Good Shepherd Catholic School located in east Orlando is seeking a principal to lead the school beginning July 1, 2023. Founded in 1956, the school was originally staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph. After growth and completion of the permanent school, the Sisters of Notre Dame guided the school. In 1981, the Missionaries of Our Lady of LaSalette received responsibility of the parish and school. Based upon a long tradition of Catholic religious men and women, Good Shepherd Catholic School serves a diverse coed student population in grades PreK-8 with an Early Childhood Center for young children.
Good Shepherd Catholic School is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference. The school has earned the Catholic Schools for Tomorrow Innovations in Technology Award followed by The National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award. Applications for the position of Principal are currently being accepted from qualified candidates who have the demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience of leading people and teams, planning and executing budgets, and collaborating with parents and stakeholders. Candidates must be practicing Catholics committed to Catholic education, possess an advanced degree in Educational Leadership and have at least three years of Catholic school administrator experience. Candidates must be eligible for Florida certification. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, according to Diocesan salary policy.
