Description:
Acts in an assistant role in the Faith Formation Office. Duties are variable based on the needs of the office on any given day. Performance of duties can and will change daily...the following are possible tasks that will be performed but are not limited to this list, other duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Distributes information on and explains various activities of the department visitors.
Organizes and schedules Sacraments, verifies documents, completes necessary paperwork and places calls to ensure accurate records. Records completed sacraments.
Fills in at reception desk as requested by supervisor.
Complete various office tasks including mailings, phone calls, photocopying, filing, etc. as assigned.
Helps in organizing of events including recording attendance, securing priests, handling calls relating to invitations (example: Penance Services for students and families.
Responds daily to incoming emails and phone calls and forwards the information as needed.
Organizes, records and distributes data for Religious Education Classes.
Will be assigned tasks based on various office projects that may be seasonal or occasional.
Additional duties as assigned. May include occasional duties outside of normal work schedule.
May involve some evening hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.

. Requirements:
High School degree or equivalent.
Three years office experience required including two years database experience.
Excellent telephone skills and ability to stay calm in stressful situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Publisher, Facebook, Constant Contact, and Google forms a must.
Knowledge of Parish Data Systems is a plus.
Solid organization skills and ability to work independently.
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
