Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
2-3 days weekly of blocking and/or choreography rehearsals with students.
Collaborates with Director and Administration to research scripts and creative talent including auditions.
Attend competition events on behalf of the organization including Thespian District and State Festivals.
Perform general administrative duties as needed.
Create content to share with the Marketing Coordinator in Advancement, take on responsibility for monitoring and replying to Arts & Theatre requests from the Marketing Coordinator.
Ensure the Stage Manager correctly creates and sends out Rehearsal Reports daily.
Manage immediate, mid-range, and long-range scenery, light, and sound-related production goals- involving scenery construction, production deadlines, design adherence and research, progress reporting and communications, personnel scheduling, and safety (e.g.- shop, aerial) procedures.
Contribute to a culturally pluralistic learning environment through curriculum initiatives, pedagogy, and service.
Participate in the design and specification of theatre equipment and help plan the building from the perspective of venue operations and production.
Carry up to 50lbs (building materials, supplies, equipment,)
Capable of a wide range of motion to use stairs, ladders, Genie Lift, sweep, mop, and paint.
Assist the Director with day-to-day operations, including contracting, programming, fundraising, marketing, and development.
Be prepared to be available for productions with complicated running needs.
Attend performances.
Organize student crews for the strike and removal of all scenic elements from the theatre.
Coordinate and assist in the procurement of supplies at local stores and vendors.
Stay current and in compliance with all safety and emergency procedures.
Supervise technical rehearsals.
Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check.
Upon employment, the individual will be subject to a 90-day probationary period.
