Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify training and performance support needs throughout CCM by guiding team's process of meeting with departmental stakeholders to assess business needs, conducting front-end analyses, and preparing recommendations for appropriate
    solutions to support needs.
  • Work closely with Director of T&D and other T&D leadership team member(s) to strategize holistic skills-based training and career- or leadership-development learning initiatives.
  • Promote a strongly collaborative team environment with an emphasis on leveraging consultative techniques to build effective partner relationships focused on meeting client needs.
  • Partner with Human Resources (HR) team members to ensure employees have engaging New Employee Orientations, targeted onboarding training programs, applicable compliance training, and other effective HR-related or required training.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of best-in-class performance-focused learning materials; including written, interactive, print, video, and knowledge base content.
  • Create roadmaps to standardize training and performance support amongst departments to ensure the best experience for employees, members, providers, and business partners.
  • Lead and mentor staff to improve skillset and career potential by promoting a strong growth and learning culture within T&D.
  • Develop and maintain an auxiliary trainer program to support agile learning needs of business units to ensure delivery of quality instruction in alignment with T&D curriculum and facilitation standards.
  • Create and maintain training programs to meet the current operational needs of the ministry based on set criteria to include survey feedback from attendees, reported performance metrics from Quality Assurance (QA), and other identified means.
  • Evaluate learning programs and instructor effectiveness through the collection and analysis of data and feedback from a variety of internal and external customers using established tools, identifying areas of improvement based on feedback, and
    implementing changes as necessary.
  • Support multiple simultaneous training and performance support projects and events. 
  • Use excellent presentation and communication skills to convey complex ideas and recommendations in a clear and articulate manner to employees of all levels.
  • Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
  • Complete performance reviews, co-create development plans for team members, and empower achievement of development plans through coaching support.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate course revision standards to ensure materials remain up-to-date with relevant information.
  • Oversee activities of team members as they liaison with business units and offer them
    support as needed to maintain healthy client relationships.
  • Research and propose innovative solutions to instructional software (learning management system, knowledge base system, content libraries, quizzing software, etc.) by establishing effective business cases and overseeing long-term implementation of
    chosen systems with appropriate governance.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Education, Communications, Psychology, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or similar relevant field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in project management, instructional design, knowledge base management, corporate training, or change management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience managing a team of functional specialists/trainers.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' working in a corporate learning environment
