Job Description Summary

The marketing product specialist is responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining programs and products that serve and engage the US church in Bible translation. The product specialist has highly developed communication skills, marketing strategic thinking, as well as analytical, creative, and project management expertise. You should have experience with various marketing and communications print and digital strategies. Your objective is to develop and implement the most successful plans to position and enhance engagement with bible translation around the world. All of this is done, keeping in mind Wycliffe USA’s core principles of Church Relations: being relationally focused, built for diversity, inclusivity and belonging, holistically collaborative and working from a spirit of generosity.

Job Description

Major Job Responsibilities:
Develops program marketing strategies (campaign launching, campaign packaging, etc).

Crafts compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns). Tests program and product messaging and placement features, releases and ad copy.

Works with various teams (design, content, editorial, video, event, social media) to implement program and product marketing strategies.

Follows and analyzes market trends to position programs and products.

Ideates, develops, implements, and maintains strategic products and programs that serve the US church help increase their engagement in Bible translation.

Works with internal and external creative resources to plan and implement key Church Relations initiatives.

Helps develop strategic direction of products and programs to increase and grow church engagement. Serves as a consultant, strategist and implementer of Church Relations initiatives.

Reports on engagement with church products and programs to help measure their effectiveness.

Assists Church Partnership Facilitators in analyzing and articulating opportunities within their networks and in developing strong engagement initiatives to serve those churches.

Maintains awareness of best practices or approaches when engaging various audiences while maintaining the foundational principles of Wycliffe’s Church Relations efforts.

Plans and implements multi-channel, multi-audience communications strategies and deployment, considering the specific needs/interests of the content senders and receivers (e.g., Church Partnership Facilitators, pastors, Wycliffe staff, the media).

Understands and applies best practices from other teams within Wycliffe (and from outside the organization) to continually improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Organizational Representative: Present the global ministry of Wycliffe and encourage interested individuals and churches to participate in this work. Maintain an exemplary standard of ethics and conduct that reflects biblical principles.

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be expected for this position.

Other Requirements: Must have a strong reliable internet and phone connection. Ability and willingness to alter work schedule in order to work evenings or on weekends as required by the position.

Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Demonstrates desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation. Must understand and support the Biblical principles of missionary service and partnership development. Must be comfortable praying with and for churches and individuals as well as discussing and presenting on spiritual topics.

Physical Demands: Ability to spend significant amounts of time using a computer, tablet and cell phone. Must be able to lift and/or move 15 pounds.

Enthusiastic about providing high-quality customer service. Committed to high-quality work and prompt attention to the delivery of results.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of marketing best practices and strategy. (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns).

Synthesizes complex or diverse information, collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to complement data, designs workflows and procedures.

Solid interpersonal skills in relating to people at all levels of positions and diverse backgrounds. Intermediate knowledge of setting and managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization

Approachable, easy to talk to, and an excellent listener with a high level of interpersonal and written communication skills.

Understand excellent customer service and be able to meet the needs of internal and external customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

Technical Skills: Proficient in programs such as content management, database and reporting systems, Google Workspace (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Documents, Drive), Microsoft Office Suite

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in marketing, business, and/or content management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nonprofit ministry work or volunteer experience is preferred.
