POSITION SUMMARY

The Performing Arts Manager for Community Arts Connection is a leadership position for the individual who wants to combine his/her skills with our talented team in a challenging, rewarding innovative environment. Reporting to the Access Ministries Director, this position will oversee the Rhythms of Grace and Chapel performing Arts program and manage all aspects of programming related to practices and performances for adults with special needs.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Oversee and manage preparations for all rehearsals and performances for Rhythms of Grace Chapel programs.
  • Lead and teach multiple classes, prepare scripts, costumes, sets, etc. for each program session.
  • Build relationships with the CAC participants and their families/caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other ministry leaders to recruit, train and mobilize towel holders to support the arts program; assigning appropriate tasks and manage/appreciate staff & towel holders in their roles
  • Effective communicator: demonstrate high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills to include ongoing communication with donors, families and caregivers, CAC participants, staff and towel holders.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to multitask; be productive, focused, and flexible in a creative & sometimes chaotic environment.
  • Ability to give clear directions and lead in a classroom/group environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with little oversight while maintaining a high degree of quality and professionalism.
  • Have a natural ability to interact and communicate effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Preferred experience/education/training in performing arts.
  • Preferred special needs community experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $39,500.00 per year
