Executes administrative and clerical functions of Parish Religious Education Department by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Handles incoming and outgoing telephone/ reception duties.

Compiles and maintains membership lists.

Welcomes new members and processes registrations. Prepare recordkeeping for attendance.

Accept catechist applications and keep their files up to date.

Explains privileges and obligations of membership and provides other information to members.

Collects and records receipts of fees and contributions.

Prepares and sends newsletters, promotional materials, and other publications to persons on mailing list.

Prepares and submits financial information to bookkeeping.

Performs other clerical functions as required.

Maintains Diocesan correspondence in regards to Catechist Certification Program and other formation opportunities.

May be required to work occasional times outside of regular scheduled work week for special events.

. Requirements:

  • AA degree
  • 3 yrs. experience in secretarial position.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher
  • Creative design abilities for publishing. Please list any program abilities such as Corel, Adobe etc.
  • Background working in a Catholic Religious Education program is a plus.
  • PT Flexible hours which may include some evenings and an alternating schedule.
